Emanuel Ponsford
Dr. Ponsford, a 1980 Texas A&M University-College of Veterinary Medicine graduate, owned and operated a small animal hospital in El Paso for 27 years. He spent five years with a national corporate practice as Lead Veterinarian Chief of Staff.
Since moving to Dallas in 2012, he has worked as an associate veterinarian, a relief doctor and a Medical Director. He has extensive experience in small animal medicine and surgery. Here at Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch, Dr. Ponsford serves as Medical Director and sees internal medicine cases.
Dr. Ponsford is an author, retired blogger, inventor, and has spoken at both state and national conventions.
Dr. Ponsford enjoys reading non-fiction, woodworking and Celtic folk music. (He has been known to play the bagpipes, Irish whistle and the bodhran- a Celtic hand drum!) He has three adult children and currently lives with his wife, a chocolate Lab, a obnoxious Jack Russell terrier, four cats and one parrot in the Dallas Metroplex area.
